WELCOME TO
MY DESIGN WONDERLAND
Dazzle Art
I asked myself what I want to make and didn't get the answer. Usually when I didn't have a purpose at the beginning of design, I would tell myself to make something that can bring happiness to people.
Recently I saw a talkshow talking about window taxI. In 18th and 19th, people drew fake windows at the facade of building to avoid window tax in England, France, and Ireland. It brings me the inspiration about playing with windows.
Window can be seen everywhere on streets. No one is going to pay attention to them. People even hate them because of the light pollution. What can I do with window? How can I use window to bring some pleasure to the pedestrian?
Then I ask myself again a question:
"what can cheer me up in 1 min?"
The answer is cat. Our fluffy friend has the power to sweep all sadness and give us the best hug in the world.

I used to have a farm day when I studied in a language school. At that afternoon, a rancher would bring adorable baby farm animals to the campus to help students release their pressure. This animal therapy works well.
I wonder whether there will be a pet day in university to let students bring their pets. Staying along with our animal friends is a gentle way to comfort the stressful mind.

A Blossom Tree
After the making the Dazzle Meow experiment, I put this idea to my thesis, to consider whether I can also create an environment for it.
Firstly, I choose a scene. Miss.Pumpkin hinds behind a blossom tree.

During the research time, I get inspired from artist Anila Agha. Her work All the Flowers Are for Me in Peabody Essex Museum. She puts a paper cutting cube in the center of a room with a single light inside. When the light is on, all the wall of the room show the paper cutting shadow. Anila Agha creates a amazing room for interaction.

I start to establish my environment from a shape experiment.

After deciding the pattern, I used it to build a scene.

Use the scene to construct the environment.
